Been way too long. I've been meaning to put lots of stuff up here for ages. But you know..busy. Here's some of the fun concepts I did for a main title of a new T.V. show. The ideas eventually beame a bit more literal to the show, but i liked these best, and since the titles got killed before airing, I'll show whatever I want. ;-)

New Marvel pages for Comic-Con

So, finally posting the pages I took to Comic-Con with me last week. I didn't get much of a response from publishers at the conventions, and its getting to be so crazy busy, that even artists in artists' alley are too busy to take a gander.
I hope to take them up to ny good friend Brian Apthorp, artist and critic extraordinaire, who always has useful feedback for me. If any of you out there notice anything helpful, I encourage you to comment below. Thanks!

crosshatching fun
So I had a gig a couple of weeks ago for some shooting boards that had the option of being quicker and dirtier than a lot of recent stuff I've been doing recently. So in lew of the usual photohop shading/coloring I had some fun doing some loose crosshatching. And since I've given up on trying to upload a fun quicktime video of an animatic for another project. I figured I'd throw a frame or three from this project up instead.

Come to the Long Beach Comic-Con!

Hello all! I'll be at the Long Beach Comic-Con Fri, Sat, and Sun hanging with my buddy, writer Joshua Williamson (he of the sky-rocketing career.) We'll be at booth 1109! Come get your signed copies of Josh's new issues of Superman/Batman (an awesome story starring Kara(Supergirl)and Damian(Robin)as well as last year's hit Dear Dracula (fun for the adults and the kiddies!) I'll probably have some old Necesary Evil pages and new sketches for sale. Hope to see you there!

More fun Storyboard stuff

Had a recent storyboard gig with some fun elements. Was supposed to be showing a luxury Sedan with lots of unnecesary bells and whistles. I got to kind of go nuts and at the ruff stage, and then was progressively reigned in. Still one of the more fun gigs of late. Here are the Some frames including the initial crazy ruff.

Some Storyboard Stuff
Well, I had intended to keep this blog updated with new comic art after Comic-Con, but storyboarding has kept me pretty busy, so I guess I'll just post some of that. Sad to say, but I rarely see the finished prouct that results from my storyboard work, as often it is for pitches that don't come to fruition, or is shown only in specializes market. (Also I don't watch a lot of infomercrials.) I've done my share of golf spots over the years, but this was definately the most fun. My client kndly provided me with a video of the finished spot. Kind of fun.
